Who we are
Published by Life Safe, Ontario.
Bedrock Minds is published by Life Safe, an Ontario training company that runs first aid and CPR courses in Toronto and across the province. Bedrock Minds brings the same hands-on approach to psychological health and safety.
The course was designed by a Canadian Red Cross Psychological First Aid Instructor. Its practice is consistent with published mental health first aid guidelines and psychological first aid conventions.
How we think about training
Practice over awareness.
Most workplaces have done the lunch-and-learn. What they rarely have is people who have practised what to say, what not to say, and what to do next.
One plan everyone shares
The 4C Pathway: Check, Connect, Care, Close the loop. The same steps for a front-line worker and a manager.
Scored, not just attended
On the practical day, every learner leads scenarios and is scored against a clear checklist.
Hazards, not people
Close the loop reports the workplace hazard, not the person, so one conversation can lead to prevention for the whole site.
What we will and won’t say
Straight about what a certificate means.
Learners receive a certificate of completion from Life Safe, valid for three years. It is not an accredited, licensed or regulated credential. It does not make anyone a counsellor or clinician, and it does not certify an organization as conforming to CSA Z1003.
Bedrock Minds is an independent program. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Mental Health Commission of Canada, CSA Group, BNQ or the Canadian Red Cross, and it is not the same as other mental health first aid or resilience programs.
